Police nab 13 suspects in connection with Ekiti traditional rulers’ murder
Police operatives have arrested 13 suspects linked to the killing of two monarchs in Ekiti State.
Recall that the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Olusola, and the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba David Ogunsola, were killed on Monday while returning from a security meeting in Irele-Ekiti.
Speaking about the incident, force spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi announced on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme that 13 suspects are in custody.
Adejobi said, “Now, we have 13 suspects arrested so far in connection with that incident. And we are sure we are going to get more of these suspects.

“We are working with the suspects, and they are giving us reliable and useful information to apprehend the rest.
“We are sure and optimistic that we are going to get all of them apprehended and bring them to book.”
Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has deployed an Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) to the South-West state to flush out terrorists who are killing and kidnapping people in the state.
The Nigeria Police Force also deployed helicopters and armoured personnel carriers to the state with assurance that pupils and teachers kidnapped around Eporo-Ekiti area of the state would be rescued soon.
