No looting of food truck in Abuja – FCT Police
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has denied purported looting of a truck carrying food items in the Dei-Dei area of the FCT on Monday morning.
Earlier, a video on X App claimed a foodstuff-loaden truck was attacked by residents and its contents carted away in Dei Dei.
Reacting to the incident in a statement, the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said they were unaware of such attacks.

However, Adeh asked that anyone with evidence of such activities should forward and report to the police.
“The FCT Police Command is not aware of any looting of food trucks in Dei-Dei Abuja this morning, being the 4/3/2024, but if you have any information pls, come to us with details,” the statement read.
However, the police confirmed the looting of a warehouse in Gwagwa-Tasha, belonging to the Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat of the FCTA at Gwagwa in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, on Sunday.
The spokesperson for the Secretariat, Zakari Aliyu, and the Public Relations Officer of the Police Command both confirmed the incident and the arrest of 15 persons in connection with the crime.
