Police in Niger State fire gunshots to stop protesters from blocking major roads

Security operatives have fired gunshots to disperse protesters in Niger State attempting to block main road at the popular Top Medical junction in Tunga area of Minna.

Police had earlier fired teargas to disperse the protesters, who later attempted to reassemble while aiming at mounting a road block on the busy road.

The security personnel on ground had to fire gunshots into the air to dismiss their presence.

Furthermore, policemen and vigilantes were trying to remove all the stones and other items the protesters used to block the road.
