President Bola Ahmed Tinubu outlined new initiatives aimed at addressing Nigeria’s economic and social challenges amid ongoing protests.

President Tinubu unveiled a substantial student loan programme, allocating 45.6 billion Naira to ease the financial burden on students and educational institutions. He stated, “We are committed to enhancing educational access and supporting our youth. This loan scheme will provide critical relief to students as we navigate these challenging times.”

To combat housing shortages and boost economic growth, Tinubu announced a plan to deliver 100,000 housing units over the next three years. The initiative includes key infrastructure projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and Sokoto-Badagry Highway. “These projects are not only about building homes but also about creating jobs and fostering regional development,” Tinubu emphasised.
