I have no plans to contest against Tinubu – Ganduje cries out over 2027 campaign posters

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has firmly denied any intentions of contesting against President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. This denial comes in response to campaign posters circulating on social media, suggesting that Ganduje plans to run for president with Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma as his running mate.

In a statement released on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje described the posters as fake and the work of mischief-makers. He speculated that these actions might be connected to elements within the Kwankwassiyya movement, aiming to create discord between him and President Tinubu.

“This is to inform the general public that the poster currently circulating on social media, claiming that the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, is contesting for the presidency in 2027 with Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, as his running mate, is entirely false and a malicious piece of fake news,” the statement read.

Ganduje emphasized his unwavering loyalty to President Tinubu and his commitment to supporting the President’s vision and leadership. He urged the public to disregard the fabricated story and refrain from spreading unverified information.

The APC also stressed that Ganduje believes President Tinubu is on the right path to leading Nigeria towards greater prosperity and unity.
