How ‘Kidnapper’ was arrested inside worship centre

The Nigerian Army’s 6 Brigade/Sector 3 Operation WHIRL STROKE, in collaboration with other security agencies, also captured the alleged mastermind behind the killing of the Chief of Chanchangi Chiefdom and his son. The military’s operation, which spanned several local government areas of Taraba State, resulted in the arrest of 15 more suspected kidnappers and the seizure of arms and ammunition.

Captain Oni Olubodunde, the Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, disclosed that troops, acting on credible intelligence, raided a criminal enclave in Takum LGA on August 18, 2024, leading to the arrest of a suspected kidnapper named David Musa. Investigations revealed that Musa collaborated with a notorious kidnap kingpin known as Ephraim, alias “SKIN THE BODY.”

In another operation on August 20, 2024, troops arrested suspected gunrunners James Nuhu and Dan-Asabe Ango in Wukari Local Government Area. These suspects confessed to being involved in multiple crimes in Wukari and its surrounding areas and identified Ibrahim Philemon as the group’s armourer, responsible for storing weapons and handling the proceeds from their criminal activities.
