Prof. Rhoda Gumus, the INEC National Commissioner in charge of Edo, has assured voters that she will not accept bribes during the state’s governorship election. Speaking during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Gumus emphasized her commitment to a transparent electoral process.

She expressed confidence in her reputation, stating, “Nobody will dare approach me with a bribe.” Gumus confirmed that voter accreditation would commence at 8 am, with voting scheduled to end at 2 pm, ensuring that all accredited voters can cast their ballots.

Gumus pledged that this election would be the best conducted by INEC, asserting her dedication to overseeing a free and fair process. “I cannot take bribe no matter how much. I don’t have to take billions to do what is right,” she said.
