Banker shot dead while resisting kidnap
Nigerian banker Victor Udensi has been shot dead by suspected kidnappers following their unsuccessful attempts to abduct him.
Three guys reportedly attacked the banker on his way home from work at Zenith Bank’s Umuahia branch, according to information that reached Daily Report Nigeria.
Three guys tried to push the suspect into the back of his car at around 8 p.m., according to Abia State Police Commissioner CP Danladi Isa, who confirmed the event.
Udensi fought back, though, and the attackers shot him in the back as he attempted to flee, leaving him in a pool of blood.
He stated that the assailants tried to steal his car but were unable to start it and instead encountered another unwary motorist in a Camry.
The motorist resisted when they tried to seize his car key by force. But the armed men shot him, instantly killing him.
The police chief went on to say that when the attackers were running toward Ubakala, they came across another Keke driver who they believed was blocking their path and shot him dead.
While denouncing the assault. According to CP Isa, the police would make sure the attackers are caught.
