police in Anambra arrest teenage kidnapper, accomplices after collecting ransom
The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a suspected teenage kidnapper, Ifechukwu Ibesimako with three other accomplices for kidnap.
The suspects were arrested on Wednesday by officers from the Oba Police Divisional Headquarters in Idemili South Local Government Area after a ransom payment of N200,000 was made for the release of their victims.

The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the operation took place around 11:54am, leading to the rescue of two female victims aged between 15 and 19 years in the Oba area.
Investigations revealed that Ibesimako and his accomplices targeted their victims through social media by establishing friendships and subsequently holding them hostage until their families paid a ransom for their release.
The ongoing inquiries have also uncovered a report regarding another female victim who was released after a ransom was paid several months prior.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police CP Nnaghe Obono Itam issued a warning to the youth about the dangers of online interactions and has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the Anti-Kidnapping/Robby Squad for further investigation.
