In a decisive move to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainable water resource management, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the executive management teams for the 12 River Basin Development Authorities under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation.
The appointments, which reflect a balance of expertise, regional representation, and commitment to national development, are part of the administration’s broader agenda to revamp key sectors and tackle food insecurity in the country.

Prof. Abdu Dauda (Borno)
A distinguished academic and expert in agricultural development, Prof. Dauda brings decades of experience in water resource management to the team.
2. Managing Director:
Tijjani Musa Tumsah (Yobe)
Tumsah is a seasoned public administrator and philanthropist renowned for his leadership in governance and humanitarian services. He is the Chairman of Neptune Prime Media House and was the Chairman of Victim Support Fund and Presidential Committee on North East Initiative. He has contributed to amplifying voices and shedding light on critical issues in the North East through: Addressing Agricultural Decline, Rebuilding Water Infrastructure, Humanitarian Interventions, Media Advocacy and Awareness, he has used journalism to spotlight the challenges and resilience of the region.
