The Borno State Commissioner For Education Comrade Musa Inuwa Kubo has appealed to International partners, donor agencies, groups and individuals to support the State in sponsoring Orphans whose parents were killed by Boko Haram.
The commissioner made the appeal during an inspection of some projects executed by Ministry of education as part of activities to mark the Combined Press Week organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Borno.
He said the State Government was currently constructing boarding primary and secondary schools for over 56,000 orphans.
The commissioner observed that Orphans need the support of their society during the difficult times they have been subjected to after losing their parents to the insurgency.

During the inspection visit, Mr Kubo disclosed that Borno Government will construct twenty 2,000-capacity mega schools across the state.
This he said will pave way for those children who only attended Islamic/arabic schools ( Islamiya) a chance to get western education.
He commended the Presidential Committee on North East and many other Groups for supporting the State in its reconstruction drive.
