Tinubu to Service Chiefs: Deliver results, Nigerians are tired of excuses
Story by Susan Mbamah
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has charged the newly decorated service chiefs to intensify the fight against insecurity, stressing that citizens expect results, not excuses.
Speaking at their decoration ceremony in Abuja, Tinubu urged the military hierarchy to decisively tackle emerging armed groups across the country, saying security remains the foundation for national development.
“We must not allow new threats to take root. Nigerians want results,” he said, acknowledging recent gains but calling for renewed strategy and aggression.
Newly promoted officers include Gen. Olufemi Oluyede (CDS), Lt-Gen Wahidi Shaibu (COAS), Vice Admiral Idi Abbas (CNS), Air Marshal Sunday Aneke (CAS) and Lt-Gen Emmanuel Undiendeye (CDI).
