The Presidential Committee on North East Initiative in Collaboration with African Development Bank has organised a five-day trauma counselling Workshop in Chibok Local Government.
The aim of the workshop is to counsel residents of the Local Government who experienced untold hardship as a result of Boko Haram crisis in the North East.
The Council Chairman of Chibok, Mr Yaga Yagarakawa observed that Chibok community is still nursing the wild experience of Boko Haram that led to the abduction of over 200 school girls from the area.
Mr Yagarakawa while commending the Presidential Committee On North East Initiative for coming to the aid of his people, charged the participants to make use of the knowledge acquired during the workshop.
The Workshop drew participants from religious leaders, traditional leaders, Security personnel, Health workers and parents of the abducted Chibok School Girls.
On April 2014 some Chibok School Girls were kidnapped from the Government Secondary School in the town of Chibok in Borno State and media reports have it that some parents of the abducted girls lost their lives while others remain traumatized.
