Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has expressed sadness over the crash of a Military Aircraft King Air 350 en route Minna that claimed the lives of all members of the crew on board.
Governor Sani Bello in a statement said the incident is unfortunate and tragic.
“It is painful and pathetic that the Air force intelligence Jet conveying seven persons including crew members crashed while on an official engagement.
” It is a setback to the Military now that the security forces are being overstretched due to security challenges confronting Niger State at the moment and the country at large”, he said.

The governor prayed for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives, and to give their families, close associates, Aviation Minister the Nigerian Military the fortitude to bear the loss.
A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Beechcraft KingAir B350 aircraft was said to have departed Abuja for Minna with seven persons on board including two crew members and crashed landed on the final approach path of Abuja Runway 22 after reporting engine failure.
Also, Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Senate President Bukola Saraki have commiserated with families of the victims of Sunday’s Beechcraft KingAir B350i plane crash.
Atiku said: “I have just learnt of the crash of a military aircraft near Abuja. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those on board the ill-fated flight.”
Saraki, on his official Twitter handle @bukolasaraki, said: “At this time, my prayers are with the Nigerian Air Force and the families and friends of the military personnel involved in today’s Beechcraft KingAir B350i plane crash.
“I pray for strength for the families.”
Neptune Prime had reported seven personnel of the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) died in a plane crash that occurred on Sunday morning in Abuja.
