FG vows to defeat terrorism, rescue abducted Oyo and Borno pupils as Tinubu deploys special forces

According to government officials, the deployment is part of a broader strategy to strengthen intelligence gathering, enhance search-and-rescue efforts, and dismantle criminal and terrorist networks responsible for attacks on schools and communities.

The government described the abductions as a grave assault on the nation’s future, stressing that the safety and return of the victims remain a top priority. Authorities said security agencies have intensified operations in affected areas and are working closely with state governments to ensure the safe recovery of all those held captive.

As part of measures aimed at improving security in vulnerable regions, the Federal Government has also approved the recruitment of additional forest guards to strengthen surveillance and deny criminal groups safe havens in remote areas.

President Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to defeating terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping across the country, assuring Nigerians that all available resources would be deployed to protect lives and restore security.

The latest move comes amid ongoing efforts by security agencies to curb violent attacks and improve safety in communities affected by insurgency and criminal activities.
