According to reports on social media, the video was taken in South Africa.
In the video shared online, the boy knelt down on one of his knees as other students were seen cheering.
It was said that the students had just written their last examination for the term.
The girl appeared to be surprised by the action.
The boy brought out what looked like a ring before wearing it on her finger.
