NUJ Niger Council mourns death of Mohammed Yahaya Aduagba

The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Niger State Council has described as painful and a great loss to the pen profession, the death of Mohammed Yahaya Aduagba.

The Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor of Niger State, Mary Noel-Berje in a statement said it is indeed a sad and grieving moment for the entire members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Niger State Council acknowledging the calm and gentle attributes of the deceased during his lifetime.

Noel-Berje also recounted the dedication and commitment of the late Yahaya Aduagba to the growth and development of journalism in Niger State.

The CPS maintained that “a vacuum has really been created in the NUJ Niger Council by his death, but we cannot question what God has allowed to happen.

May God forgive him his sins and grant him eternal rest”.

She also prayed to God to give his family members, Federal Information Chapel and the State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists as well as friends and well-wishers of the pen profession the fortitude to bear the loss.

Late Mohammed Yahaya Aduagba died last week after a brief illness.

Until his death, he was a staff and second in command of the Federal Information Centre, Minna, Niger State Capital.

Late Mohammed Aduagba who was the Chairman of the Federal Information Chapel is survived by a wife and children.
