PDP board chairman, Jibrin, commissions Dambam General Hospital in Bauchi

The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Walid Jibrin has Commissioned Dambam General Hospital constructed by Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration within 12 months at the cost of 330 million naira.
Performing the commissioning ceremony at the premises of the newly completed general hospital on Wednesday, the Chairman applauded Governor Bala Mohammed for completing it in record time.
Accompanied by the former senate president and the secretary of the PDP board of trustees, Senator Adolphus Wabara, Senator Walid said that the developmental projects being executed across the state by the governor is a replica of his performance when he served as minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

He commended the governor as one of the great pillars of the PDP, adding that Governor Bala has been keeping his state very peaceful and very important and useful projects are being executed by his administration since its inception.
He said: “Your record of excellent performance can be seen in your scorecard when you served as minister of the Federal Capital Territory. I must emphasise that you have fully carried out the objectives of the PDP right from your unit, ward, local government the whole state which is wearing a new look”.
In his speech, Governor Bala Mohammed said his administration has, since its inception about two and a half years ago, lived up to the ideals that defined the PDP as the people-oriented political party.
The governor said his administration has executed projects and programs that have a direct bearing on the lives of the citizens, which include the construction of roads in both urban and rural areas, hospitals, schools, among others.
In a welcome address, the chairman of the Dambam Local Government Area of the state, Alhaji Waziri Ayuba appreciated the governor for executing laudable projects not only in Dambam but the state in general.
Also speaking, the Commissioner of Health, Dr Samaila Dahuwa said before the coming of Bala Mohammed’s administration, the health sector was in a moribund condition which necessitated the governor to declare a state of emergency on health.
He said that the Nigerian government is planning to copy Bauchi by conducting a national health summit.
According to him, following the 2020 health summit in Bauchi, a lot of hospitals have been constructed while others are in the process.
The Commissioner, who prayed that the people of Dambam will make good use of the health facility by taking ownership of it, advised them to endeavour to report any problem that will hinder the smooth operation of the health facility to the ministry for prompt action.
