AFCON Qualifier: Super Eagles warm up for final clash with Rwanda
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set for their final group game of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
To wrap up the qualification series, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will welcome the Amavubi of Rwanda.
Just like Benin Republic, Rwanda is in the same group 2026 World Cup qualification group as Nigeria.
Nigeria and Rwanda have met six different times for international football.
Nigeria has two wins, and the other four were draws while Rwanda is still searching for their first victory.
They need a victory against Nigeria to keep their hopes of qualification alive as well as send a message ahead of the World Cup meeting.
Ademola Lookman’s headed goal in the first half that the Moroccan referee mysteriously chalked off as both nations fought to a scoreless stalemate in their first meeting in September in Kigali.
Another Moroccan will serve as the referee for the return leg in Uyo.

At the game, which begins at 5 pm, 44-year-old Samir Guezzaz will take the stage in the centre.
His fellow countrymen Zakaria Brinsi as assistant 1, Abdessamad Abertoune as assistant 2, and Kech Chaf Mustapha as the fourth official.
Ali Mohamed Ahmed from Somalia is the referee assessor, and Prosper Harrison Addo from Ghana is the match commissioner.
The game between Nigeria and Rwanda will take place on Monday (today), November 18th, 2024.
