Some students of Zappa Secondary School in Asaba, Delta State, have left the whole community in shock as they launched a brutal attack on a male teacher in their school after allegedly taking hard drugs.
The students were said to have attacked the teacher when the hard drugs they took started manifesting in their body system.
It was gathered that the students who finished their first term examination on Friday and the school also closed officially for the first academic term, attacked the teacher while he was on his way home.
According to an eyewitness, the teacher was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, for treatment after the students had beaten him and broke his forehead.
It was learned that cops from the ‘A’ Division Police Station were immediately alerted and some pupils were arrested.
An activist, Mr. Victor Ojei, who rushed to the scene of the incident, said hard drugs had caused a lot of damage to some secondary pupils in the state.
He said that hard drugs are now being consumed by secondary school pupils in the State.
“These kids now take all forms of hard drugs and get intoxicated and start fighting their teachers. They broke his forehead,” Ojei said.
