Anambra gov’t shuts down brothel, rescues sex workers

The Anambra State Government’s agency, Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (OCHA Brigade), on Thursday, shut down a brothel named Happiness Guest House, situated in the Amawbia area of Awka South Local Government.

The enforcement team successfully rescued approximately 10 sex workers, Including underaged girls, highlighting the urgent need for protective measures in the area.

A press statement by the Managing Director of the agency, Chief Celestine Anere, stated that the operation was embarked upon, after due monitoring of the place.
