APC national headquarters moves to disqualify Kano election

There are indications that the national headquarters of APC had concluded deliberations to cancel the recent congress of the party that took place at the state level across the country.

Speaking in Abuja, APC National Caretaker Chairman and Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has made it clear that all serving caretaker chairmen that participated in the recent congress without resigning are automatically disqualified.

He noted that they issued a statement before the recent congress that they should either resign to contest or remain in office and be disqualified if elected. Kano with Abdullahi Abbas as caretaker chairman who did not resign before the election is automatically disqualified.

It could be recalled that there were two parallel APC Congress that took part in Kano recently, the faction of the governor produced Abdullahi Abbas, while former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau’s faction, produced, Alhaji Ahmad Danzago as elected chairman, and Abdullahi was sworn in since by the Kano State Governor.
