Arsenal found the back of the net in the 54th minutes courtesy Martin Odegaard to give the Gunners the lead.

Despite pressures from Wolves to find a leveler, the Mikel Arteta boys who started off the season on a bright note kept on with the momentum as captain, Odegaard sealed the victory for the Gunners to make it 0-2.

Saturday’s victory for Arsenal see them topping the league with 37 points before the international break.

Meanwhile, City failed to close the wide gap after losing to Brentford 1-2 at the Etihad Stadium. They are second on the log with 32 points.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are sixth after beating Southampton 3-1 at Anfield.

Also, Tottenham Hotspur came from a one goal down to claim a 4-3 victory over Leeds United. Leicester stun West Ham United 0-2.

Chelsea premier league performance continues to raise questions as they fall to Newcastle by a lone goal – their third defeat in a row.
