Saka becomes Arsenal’s highest-paid player

Bukayo Saka has signed a new five-year contract with Arsenal F.C., becoming the highest-paid player at the Premier League side.

According to Sky Sports, the winger’s previous deal was set to expire in June 2027, but the fresh agreement will now keep him at the North London club until 2031.

The England international has featured more minutes than any other Arsenal player since manager Mikel Arteta took charge in 2019, underlining his importance to the team.

Despite enduring a 15-game goal drought, Saka remains a central figure in Arsenal’s squad. He last found the back of the net on December 3 in a 2-0 home victory over Brentford F.C..

Born in London to Nigerian parents, Saka joined Arsenal’s academy at the age of eight before progressing to the senior team. He made his first-team debut on November 18, 2018, in a UEFA Europa League clash against FC Vorskla Poltava.
