Atiku hosts Peter Obi in Adamawa

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar played host to Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, at his residence in Adamawa State on Saturday morning, in what many have described as a symbolic meeting between two of Nigeria’s most prominent political figures.

Atiku shared the news via a video post on X.com, accompanied by the caption: “It is breakfast time with my friend, #PeterObi, in the ‘land of beauty.’”

The video showcased a warm and convivial atmosphere as the two leaders sat together at a dining table, sharing a meal and engaging in discussions. Also present were other dignitaries, whose presence added to the significance of the event.

While details of their discussions were not disclosed, political analysts believe the meeting could be more than a casual gathering. Both Atiku and Obi have played major roles in shaping Nigeria’s political discourse, particularly during the 2023 presidential election. This interaction has sparked speculation about potential future collaborations or the strengthening of political ties.

This gathering comes amidst a backdrop of Nigeria’s evolving political climate, with citizens closely monitoring alignments and re-alignments among key figures ahead of the next electoral cycle.
