Rt. Hon. Lawan Shettima Ali, MHRep for Bursari, Geidam, and Yunusari Federal Constituency is a champion star and transformational leader. The human capital development achievements of Rt. Hon. Lawan Shettima Ali within just six years are a remarkable asset to the entire Ngazargamu Federal Constituency.
Since the return of democracy in 1999, the constituency has had two past representatives. However, none of them have facilitated federal employment for the good people of Ngazargamu like Rt. Hon. Lawan Shettima Ali.
One of Shettima’s top priorities is securing permanent and pensionable federal government appointments, believing that the youth are the backbone of any society administratively, socially, politically, and religiously. He once stated, “If I do not support the people who have placed their trust in me, then who should I support?”
In his first term alone, Hon. Lawan Shettima facilitated more than 20 federal employments for his constituents across the three local governments of Bursari, Geidam, and Yunusari. As he continues his second term, the numbers are still rising.
He firmly believes that human capital development should be a priority for every public representative, because when people have meaningful employment, crime and poverty are significantly reduced across all sectors.
