Bandit abduct 2 medical doctors in Okpoga, Benue State

Gunmen have abducted two medical doctors in Okpoga Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue state.

Okpoga is located in Benue south senatorial district, the gunmen also went away with a medical recorder.

The victims were all staff of General Hospital Okpoga and were said to be closing from duty when the incident happened.

Investigations revealed the gunmen waylaid the vehicle taking them home before whisking them away to an unknown destination.

As at press time the families of the victims were waiting to establish contacts with the abductors.

Police spokesperson Sewuese Anene,  a DSP confirmed the incident and said police have launched an investigation into the incident.

Benue south sensorial zone has come under sustained criminal attacks especially kidnapping and armed robbery in recent time.
