Bandits abduct, kill Ondo Monarch in Palace attack
Gunmen have killed Kehinde Jacob Faledon, the traditional ruler of Agamo community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The attackers reportedly stormed the monarch’s palace on Wednesday night and forcefully whisked him away. Minutes later, he was discovered with gunshot wounds at a location close to his residence.
The Ondo State Police Command confirmed that the monarch was pronounced dead at the scene.
The state police spokesperson, Jimoh Abayomi, said the incident was reported to the authorities shortly after it occurred. According to him, a community leader, High Chief Ajewole Clement of New Town, Itaogbolu, alerted the police around 7:50pm that about six armed men had invaded the royal residence and abducted the traditional ruler.
