How ex-NYSC DG was kidnapped at midnight

Bandits reportedly abducted Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga (retd.), the former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, in his hometown of Tsiga village, located in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State, during the early hours of Thursday.

The attackers also killed one person and took at least nine others hostage. In addition to the abductions, the bandits looted several homes, stealing valuables.

The assault took place around 12:30 AM, with eyewitnesses stating that the armed criminals fired gunshots indiscriminately to terrorize the residents.

When contacted for confirmation, Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, responded via SMS, stating he was “unable to speak at the moment.”
