Bandits raid Kaduna village, kill 7-year-old girl, 2 others
Suspected bandits unleashed terror on Kuki village in Randagi Ward, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing a seven-year-old girl and two other villagers.
The attack, which occurred on Monday around noon, also led to the rustling of cows and the looting of local shops.
According to local sources, the assailants arrived on motorcycles, striking the community near the Kaduna-Niger border. A community leader, speaking anonymously, revealed that the girl’s body was discovered in a nearby bush after the bandits left.
“The incident happened on Monday afternoon when the bandits came into Kuki village under Randagi Ward. They rustled cows, stole motorcycles, and looted shops. In the process, two people were killed, and we found the body of a seven-year-old girl in a nearby bush,” the source said.

The vigilantes from both Niger and Randagi villages reportedly pursued the bandits into the Uragi forest, managing to recover the stolen cows.
Ishaq Usman Kasai, Chairman of the Birnin Gwari-Niger Inter Boundaries Communities Union for Peace and Development (BG-NI CUPD), confirmed the attack but refrained from further comments.
Meanwhile, the state government and police are yet to issue statements on the incident. The Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, is expected to issue a statement soon.
