Bandits strike again in Kaduna, kill policeman, abduct university students

Bandits attack yet again in Karji, a community known for its student population along the popular Yakowa Road Kaduna.

According to a report by the War Desk News, they invaded the community in numbers, in the late hours of Wednesday and operated for several hours with no intervention from outside security forces according to eyewitnesses.

Also in the report, an anonymous female residing in the area, called to confirmed it, saying the terrorists killed a Police Inspector during the attack before abducting two students and two other residents of the community.

Kaduna has been in the news lately for the mass abduction of students and teachers from their schools. Last Thursday, 39 students of the College of Forestry Mechanization Afaka in Kaduna, were abducted by terrorists. In a related development on Monday 15th of March, 2021; Rema Primary school was attacked by terrorists and 3 teachers were confirmed to have been abducted.

Reacting, the Kaduna state government said schools will not be shut down despite the rise in the spate of school attacks and mass abductions in the state.

Mohammed Jalige, the Kaduna state police public relations officer, when contacted by War Desk News didn’t respond to both calls and text messages.
