Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has condoled Katagum Emirate Council and the people of the State over the death of a famous hunter and private security expert, Alhaji Ali Kwara.
Late Ali Kwara died last Friday in Abuja after a protracted illness he was buried in his hometown Azare over the weekend.
The Governor delivered his condolence message when he paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Faruk at his palace shortly after participating at the funeral prayer of the deceased.
Governor Bala described late Ali Kwara as someone who made a landmark achievement in the fight against criminal activities not only in Nigeria but across the globe.
He said the late famous hunter was well known for assisting security agencies in apprehending kidnappers and cars’ snatchers and arm robbers.
“We came to the Katagum Emirate Council to convey the condolences of the Government and people of Bauchi State over the loss of one of our illustrious sons of the state, Alhaji Ali Kwara. We believed this man deserved all the respect and honour and he has made us proud as a state.
“We have to show our grief and sadness over this loss, it is not the amount of money you will leave behind, but the way and manner you give support and make society better.
The Governor said, “Ali Kwara is a household name in Nigeria for his fight against criminality, recalled how he assisted him to secured Federal Capital Territory against criminal activities when he was the FCT Minister.”
Governor Bala acknowledged the support of the deceased towards the maintenance of peace and security in the state especially assisting security agencies in apprehending high-profile criminals, kidnappers and armed robbers.
Responding, the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Faruk thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for participating fully in the funeral prayer of the deceased and extended his council’s condolences to the government and people of the state over the death.
The famous hunter left behind one wife and four children; Muhammad, Nadiya, Nasir and Abdulganiyu and he has since been buried in Azare according to Islamic rites.
