Bauchi students honour General Manager of Albarka Radio

The National Union of Bauchi State Students (NUBASS), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria chapter on Monday conferred an award of excellence to the General Manager of Albarka Radio Bauchi Alhaji Dauda Ciroma.
President of the union Comrade Yusuf Abubakar Sarki while presenting the award explained that they decided to honour the Radio Manager in view of the support he has been giving to students.

According to him, Albarka Radio gives students a voice and the opportunity to express themselves on matters concerning them.
He added that the General Manager also gives NUBASS members mentorship hence their resolve at the executive and congress meetings to reciprocate by honouring him.
Yusuf noted that this was the first time the union under his leadership was presenting the award to any individual in the state.
Responding, the General Manager of Albarka Radio Alhaji Dauda Ciroma expressed appreciation to the students for the honour and promised that the station would continue to give voice to students whom he described as leaders of tomorrow.
Also speaking, the head of news of the Radio Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim said the award would serve as a morale booster not only to the general manager but all staff in serving the society better.
