Beneficiaries of World Bank–sponsored IDEAS programme request diploma certificates from Baze University
Beneficiaries of the Innovative Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Programme have written an open letter to the management of Baze University Abuja, requesting the issuance of diploma certificates following the completion of the World Bank–sponsored IDEAS Programme.
The letter was addressed to the management of
Baze University,
Abuja, Nigeria, and made available to Neptune Prime on Wednesday.
The letter read in full, “We write this open letter with due respect and a strong sense of responsibility as beneficiaries of the Innovative Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Programme, sponsored by the World Bank and implemented in collaboration with Baze University.
“We are pleased to inform the management that we have successfully completed all academic and practical requirements of the IDEAS programme as stipulated by the university and the programme coordinators. Throughout the duration of the programme, we demonstrated commitment, discipline, and compliance with all guidelines, assessments, and evaluations required for graduation.

“However, despite the successful completion of the programme, we are yet to be issued our diploma certificates. This delay has become a major concern to us, as the certificate is crucial for professional advancement, employment opportunities, further education, and validation of the skills and knowledge acquired under this highly impactful programme.
“We humbly appeal to the management of Baze University to kindly expedite the process of issuing our diploma certificates. Doing so will not only justify the efforts and resources invested by the World Bank and the university but will also encourage confidence in the programme and its sustainability.
