Governors Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State, and Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State have joined forces in an effort to ramp up agricultural productivity to ensure food security and promote economic growth.

The three leaders recently embarked on a visit to a tractor manufacturing plant in Pakistan as part of their strategic move to enhance their states’ agricultural sectors.

During the visit, which focused on learning from post-insurgency and disaster management experiences, the governors explored the possibility of acquiring advanced machinery to modernise agricultural practices in their respective states.

Led by Governor Buni, the delegation engaged in discussions at the plant to facilitate the procurement of cutting-edge equipment aimed at revolutionising agriculture in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe.

Mamman Mohammed, the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs to Governor Buni, confirmed in a statement that the governors are steadfast in their commitment to leveraging improved agricultural techniques as a vital part of their post-insurgency recovery plans.

This collaborative initiative demonstrates their shared dedication to utilizing agriculture as a driving force for sustainable development and economic rejuvenation within their states.
