    Brave villagers confront bandits, cut off legs, rescue hostages

    Residents of Bimasa town in Sokoto State’s Tureta Local Government Area have shown extraordinary bravery by confronting and neutralising armed bandits, successfully rescuing their abducted community members.

    According to security expert Zagazola Makama, the townspeople boldly pursued the bandits into their forest hideouts. In a daring operation, they engaged the attackers directly, killing several assailants and cutting off their legs as a grim display of their victory.

    The community successfully recovered those who had been taken hostage during the raid. In a remarkable show of triumph, residents brought one of the captured bandits back to the town, celebrating their collective effort and bravery.

    Following the event, community leaders praised the residents for their courage and urged authorities to provide enhanced security for the area, fearing potential reprisal attacks from the bandits.
