BREAKING: Nigerian Army procures combat drones against insurgency (Photos)

Nigerian Army has reportedly procured an unspecified number Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) which will be used against insurgency in the country.

In a tweet by Ovie Ali Onovwo-Omasoro on Friday evening, the drones are Bayraktar TB2 procured in Turkey and would be ready for use by October in the war-torn Northwest, Northeast and NorthCentral region of the country.

He tweeted, “Breaking News : Nigerian Army buys Bayraktar TB2 UAV combat drones from Turkiye. Frame 1, 2, 3 were sent to me by troops in Turkiye undergoing training since May 2022. The drones will be deployed next month in the Northwest, Northeast and North central to take out terrorists .

“Two ground control stations and six combat drones will get us started in October, sorry I had to blur the faces . Just like the US Army ,Nigerian Army is having its air component. It’s Showtime Baby !.”
