Civil Defence board switches recruitment tests to online
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced significant changes to its ongoing recruitment process, revealing that shortlisted candidates will now take their tests online instead of at physical centres.
In a statement signed by Maj. Gen. (Rtd) A.M. Jibril, Secretary to the Board, and released on Tuesday, the CDCFIB stated that the recruitment portal will officially close on Friday, November 7, 2025.
“The Civil Defence, Corrections, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) wishes to inform all shortlisted applicants that the recruitment portal will officially close on Friday, 7th November, 2025,” the statement read.

Applicants have been advised to visit recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng to confirm their status. The online test is scheduled to hold from Wednesday, November 12, to Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
The Board clarified that the new arrangement replaces the earlier plan for physical computer-based test (CBT) centres.
“Applicants are to note that the test will be conducted exclusively online. Accordingly, all previously allocated CBT centres are discontinued,” it said.

Candidates who had earlier selected physical CBT locations are required to revisit the portal to schedule their preferred date and time for the online test. The link for the test will be published on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
The Board advised applicants to ensure they have a stable internet connection and suitable devices to take the test, warning that failure to follow instructions could lead to disqualification.
Maj. Gen. Jibril reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to fairness and accountability, assuring that the recruitment process will remain “smooth and transparent.”
