Commissioner calls for rousing welcome as Tinubu launches agric empowerment scheme in Yobe

Yobe State Commissioner, Ministry for Home Affairs, Information and Culture and Chairman of the publicity sub-Committee, Abdullah Bago, has urged all residents of the state to come out en masse to give a rousing welcome to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu during the one day visit to launch agricultural empowerment scheme in the state.
The publicity sub-Committee Chairman, Bego, made the call on Friday while briefing journalists at the NUJ secretariat in Damaturu.
Bego revealed that President Tinubu’s visit is to honour of an invitation from Governor Mai Mala Buni to launch a multi-billion naira agricultural empowerment scheme procured by the Buni’s administration.
The Commissioner stated that, the agricultural empowerment, when launched would enhance food security, employment and livelihood support for the people of the state.
He noted that the objectives of such effort by Governor Buni is to improve farming practices, employment that would transform the lives of the benefiting farmers and many others.
The Commissioner further revealed that Governor Buni is executing such projects to practicalise and instrumentalise the subjective of improving agriculture in the state.
