Court fines lady ₦450k or 7 years jail for collecting T-fare from man without visiting

A magistrate court has reportedly fined a lady identified as Jennifer the sum of ₦450,000 or sentenced her to seven years in jail after she allegedly collected transport fare from a man, Emmanuel, but failed to honor her promise to visit him.

The report, which surfaced on a popular social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), was accompanied by a video showing Jennifer inside the courtroom.

According to details, Emmanuel had given Jennifer money for transportation with the agreement that she would come to his house.

However, she allegedly spent the money without showing up.

Feeling cheated, Emmanuel filed a case against her, which eventually led to the court’s judgment an option of either paying ₦450,000 or serving seven years imprisonment.
