COVID-19 is real, stay clear of the virus – Kannywood actress, Nafisa Abdullahi

Popular Kannywood actress and University of Jos Theatre Arts Graduate, Nafisa Abdullahi has on Thursday, appealed to Northerners especially people from Kaduna, Kano and Jos to continue observing the measures that will stop the spread of the dreaded Corona Virus.

“Our problem in the North is that anything that comes up negative or positive, we will not take it seriously and we are ravaged by the ailment.

She said COVID-19 is real and is still killing people as such, she further called on people to continue wearing masks, washing their hands, avoid public gatherings so as to bring an end to the pandemic”.

“We are aware that it was brought to us from outside, but that does not mean we will not put all necessary measures in place to stop it from spreading, let us continue to live in a clean environment, observe social distancing and other rules as spelt out by the government.” She added.

Nafisa said nobody paid her to issue the statement but the recent increase in the number of COVID – 19 victims compel her to come out and appeal to people to do the needful and avoid premature death from the disease, which as of now has no cure, it is worse than even HIV/Aids, she noted.
