Cutlass-wielding man storms Church vigil, protests over noise disturbance
A dramatic scene unfolded during a night vigil at a church when a man armed with a cutlass reportedly disrupted the service, accusing worshippers of causing excessive noise.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred late at night while the church programme was ongoing. The man was seen entering the premises brandishing the cutlass and confronting congregants, demanding that the sound level be reduced. His actions triggered panic, forcing some worshippers to flee for safety.

A video of the incident, which has since circulated widely on social media, shows the man shouting angrily as church members and security personnel attempted to calm the situation and prevent violence.
Residents in the area said disputes over noise pollution, especially during night-time religious activities, have been a recurring issue in the neighbourhood. They noted that while complaints had been raised previously, the situation escalated dangerously during the vigil.

Security operatives were later alerted, and the man was reportedly subdued and taken away from the scene. No casualties were recorded, though the incident has sparked renewed debate over noise regulation and peaceful coexistence between religious centres and surrounding communities.
