Damaturu court commences hearing of case of kidnap, extortion of village head

The High Court 1 in Damaturu has begun the hearing of the case involving the 6 accused persons who were arraigned before the court presided over by the Hon.Chief Judge of Yobe State, Justice G.K Kaigama, for the offences of conspiracy, kidnapping and extortion of the village head of Mashio Alh. Isah Mai Buba.
The DPP of the Ministry of Justice, represented by Barrister Fatima Mohammed presented three witnesses before the court, while the defence counsel to the accused persons Barrister F.A.Akinola didn”t have any question to ask from the two out of the three witnesses, including the victim who is the village head of Mashio and examined the second witness with few questions.
The Chief Judge Hon.G.K.Kaigama after hearing the witnesses adjourned the case to Tuesday the 2nd day of March 2021 for continuation of the hearing as the Prosecution Counsel said they have more witnesses to present before concluding their case.
