Komadougou-Yobe is a river,
Full of the fishing pot,
Where fishers quench their greediness and thirst
Which farmers achieved their lively dreams
With the freshest fiber.

A river that flows to Bahar Nur (lake chad)
With tributaries to Jama’are,
And coincidentally chained with Hadejia,
Twins of Komadogou Gana,
Intern border of Nigeria and Niger
And the great symbol of Islam
In the northern region of Nigeria.

It’s milk feeder of Tiga Dam in Kano
And mother of Kafin Zaki Damn of Bauchi
The nearest town is Gashua Damasak and Geidam,
And Diffa of republic Niger.

Later named the state after it
With Fulani as major ethnics
Then Kanuri as a foot bearer,
With a list of Hausawa and Bade
Ngizim, Karai-karai has involved
Ngamo, and Shuwa are then located
Bolewa as kingdom’s rulers
That’s what also beautifies the great home.

We called it the pride of the Sahel
Damaturu as a state capital,
Potiskum as the center of Economy
A city with a vast trade reputation
We are also diverse in mining,
Kaolin, Iron-Ore, and gypsum
All are our identity.

We lived in peace at manner,
Understanding as a ringleader,
With religious in fact as a mystic,
Muslim clerics, we majored,
Practice Shari’a as a jury.

We depend much on agriculture
In the trade, we are to be called merchant
Patient farmers mingled nomad
Less faction political stable
And we keep thriving in solace.

Oh Allah, the lord of this universe
Make Yobe greater than London
Exhilarating than ancient Roma
Blissful and Rich more than Mali,
Unified us with peace and justice.

Ameen.
