The Benin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Queen Jonathan for suspected internet fraud.

The alleged scammer was arrested on 26 March 2021 in Oghara, Delta State.

The anti-graft agency, in a tweet on Tuesday, March 30 2021, said that the 24-year-old lady is alleged to have been involved in a Bitcoin scam.

It revealed that the suspect presented herself as one Sophia Rodriguez, an expert in Bitcoin, on Instagram, to defraud unsuspecting victims.

An Infinix Hot 8 mobile phone was also recovered from her.

The EFCC said that the Queen has made a useful statement and will be arraigned in court as soon as the investigation is completed.
