Eleven dead as laterite-loaded tipper crashes in Yola

Eleven people have reportedly lost their lives in a ghastly tipper crash along Girei-Yola road in Adamawa State on Wednesday.

The tragic incident happened at Hayin Gada, Girei local government area of Adamawa State.

The tipper involved was filled with Laterite when it had break failure and crushed several vehicles, tricycles, and even businessmen at a mini garage by the Hayin-Gada roadside.

Muhammad Sanusi, who witnessed the incident told newsmen that the tipper lost brake control while driving at great speed and crashed into a starlet car, and two tricycles, and hit some pedestrians.

“Today is a terrible Wednesday as the people around the vicinity were not left out of the agony,” he said.

As of the time of filing this report, no government official has made comment about the incident.
