Governor Mai Mala Buni’s determination to revive dormant industries in Yobe State and make them functional, job-providing and profitable is coming to fruition.

The Woven Sacks Factory, which will key in to the agricultural value chain in the state by helping to assure safe storage for farm produce, has began test runs as the factory is poised to return to production soon.

The Yobe Flour and Feeds Mill is next in line. Fifteen of sixteen components of the mill have so far been reactivated and work is ongoing for the last remaining part. Test runs are expected to begin soon.

Soon, flour and feeds, stamped with these three proud words “Produced in Yobe” will begin to flood Nigerian markets. Businesses and Yobe’s economy as a whole would be the better for it.

After years of difficult tests and challenges, including security and fiscal ones, Yobe’s recovery, under Governor Buni, is truly underway.

Emir of Fika and Chairman Council of Chiefs Yobe State Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Ibn Abali Muhammad Idrissa through his Media Assistant Mohammed Abubakar commended the Governor for the efforts of industrializing the State “this will go a long way in giving the teeming unemployed youths job opportunities as well as improving the internally generated revenue of the State.

“Governor Maimala Buni is transforming the State for good, the youths are happy with these developments”.
