Emir Sanusi to bestow Ciroman Kano title on eldest son

The 16th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, is set to turban his eldest son as the Ciroman of Kano, a title considered to be for the crown prince or heir apparent.

Ciroman is a title of significant cultural and political importance in the Kano Emirate as it traditionally represents an individual’s direct lineage rights, coupled with oversight to manage certain districts.
