Engr. Saidu Njidda appointed as ‘Barden Adamawa’ for outstanding contributions

The Adamawa Emirate Council has appointed Engineer Saidu Njidda, mni, as the ‘Barde Adamawa‘, a prestigious traditional title, as announced in a letter dated March 7, 2025, signed by Kabiru Bakari, Tariyan Adamawa, and Ag. Secretary of the Adamawa Emirate Council.

Engr. Njidda, born in Kapo village, Ribadu District, Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State, hails from the lineage of Modibbo Adama, the founder of Adamawa State.

A product of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and an alumnus of the university’s School of Basic Studies 1982 set, his impressive background includes being a skilled engineer with expertise in both agricultural and civil engineering.

Engr Njidda was the first to host Adamawa Emirate on the Internet when he created and hosted the Emirate on its present website during the era of Lamido Aliyu Musdafa as the Lamido of Adamawa, and during the centenary celebrations.

As the former Chairman and CEO of the Equipment Leasing Registration Authority (ELRA), Engr. Njidda has demonstrated his commitment to giving back to society.

Notably, he donated a water cooler center to General Murtala Mohammed College in Yola, providing the only source of water for the college.

Engr. Njidda’s achievements extend to his community development initiatives. He has connected several villages, including Malibu and Dumne, to the national grid and donated speed boats and paddle boats to the Zumo community.

An experienced, top administrative manager, having gone through the Nigerian Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Engr Njidda, mni, has been at the forefront of philanthropism whose efforts have earned him recognition, including the traditional title of Jarumai Ribadu.
