FCTA releases phone lines for residents to report uncollected waste
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has unveiled four dedicated phone lines for residents of Abuja to report cases of refuse that have not been cleared.
The phone numbers are 08038643087, 07011073406, 07011255710, and 09114843425.
The initiative, announced on Tuesday in a statement by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, is aimed at addressing the persistent waste management challenges in the Federal Capital City (FCC) and ensuring compliance by sanitation contractors.

Olayinka said residents are encouraged to send pictures and videos of uncleared refuse to the designated phone numbers via WhatsApp. He noted that reports should include clear details of the location where the waste is found to help authorities identify the contractors responsible for the area.
According to him, feedback from residents will strengthen the FCTA’s monitoring process and enhance enforcement of sanitation standards across the territory, ultimately improving environmental cleanliness in the nation’s capital.
